Anova was founded in 2000 by William Henkel, Andrew Bailey, and Mary Beth Ludwig. Behavior analysts Mr. Henkel and Mr. Bailey had departed another local behavioral services agency where they had been friends and colleagues, and were looking for a challenge.

Ms. Ludwig was a certified public accountant with a business background and a developmentally disabled child. She was looking for her own challenges. The partnership between these three individuals -- who shared a common dream of creating a truly "family oriented" nonprofit human services agency -- has evolved into one that has produced amazing results.

Anova is a comprehensive treatment program. Our agency includes not only the original behavioral services branch, but also a private special education school, diagnostic and therapy unit, and is a community resource for information.
