High school teacher Karen Bon is enjoying her fourth year with Anova. Karen teaches world history, pre-algebra, English, and electives including drama, geography, and driver’s ed. Before coming to Anova, Karen taught special education in Seattle, Washington. She is a graduate of Pomona College (B.A. in Media Studies) and the University of Washington (M.Ed. in Special Education). Karen’s favorite subject to teach is world history. She is especially fascinated by medieval and early modern European history. She also loves working with students on writing projects. When not lesson planning or learning about history, Karen can be found dancing in her garage to Dancing with the Stars DVDs or playing toys with her seven-year-old son, Christian.
