Anova is launching a Sensory Friendly Restaurant Initiative this month for Autism Awareness Month. The first restaurant to partner with us on this pilot program is Mary's Pizza Shack. Together, we hope to create an environment for those with autism and other sensory needs to enjoy dining without feeling overwhelmed by their surroundings.
Anova is providing "Sensory Friendly Kits" that will be available at all eleven Sonoma County Mary's Pizza Shack locations listed here.

ACE Contra Costa dad Pete Resler published a great new blog, "Ops: Stories of Courage, Love and Service in a Special Needs World." Please read Pete's blog and share the link!
His heartwarming posts are about people with special needs and those who give from their heart, mind and soul to make life better for them. His hope is that “Special Ops” will educate the uneducated, inspire the uninspired, and in some way contribute to the eventual death of “normal” as an adjective.
Eight year-old ACE Contra Costa Student Ava Clark and her mother Alicia Coleman-Clark have written a great book series to help children like her with autism cope better with new experiences. Please support Ava and her mom in the wonderful work they are doing by purchasing the books here.
